Famous Last Words: The Countdown Begins


I must say, this week has been rather productive. I have been able to do quite a bit of work in this class and catch back up. Still not 100% there, but I feel that it's not as overwhelming now. I'm in a good place and might still be able to pull off an A in this class if I can get my life together!

I think that doing multiple weeks assignments at the same time, keeping similar types together, has really helped me catch back up. When I’m in the groove of commenting, I just go with it and comment until my little heart and fingers can do no more. However, if I keep going on it, then I can get six or so assignments done at the same time and that’s a lot of points that I’ve earned back.

Also, have I mentioned how much of a life-saver the extra credit has been for this class? Without it, I would have failed a long time ago and been so screwed. I need this class because it checks off several boxes so that I can graduate. It also allows me to do a reverse transfer so that I can actually get my associates like I was supposed to two years ago……..fun mishap that I didn’t have all the classes they thought I needed. I walked, but didn’t actually graduate….didn’t know this until I’d been here almost a year and got a call from my previous advisor telling me I never graduated. Needless to say, I need that associates so I can opt out of several classes.

I can’t believe that there is right at a month left in this semester. It has gone by so fast! Now comes the time to Bear Down (Yes, I’m a Chicago fan, thanks to my friend. But only when they are not playing the Eagles) and really pull deep from within and finish out this semester strong. I’m really hoping that I can keep my GPA up so that I can continue to work towards getting into the accelerated program. Here goes nothing!

Week 12 Story: A Single Soul

The coolness of the water clashed with the air and an eerie fog danced across the surface of the lake. Despite low visibility near the ground, the night sky shone bright.
